How to Order Compounded Medications

Welcome to Bayview Pharmacy's guide on ordering compounded medications through our website. With over 6,000 customized formulations available, we're here to help you find the perfect medication for your patients' unique needs.

Let's get started.

Step 1: Search for a Medication

1. From your dashboard, locate the "Search for a medication" bar on the left side of your screen.
2. Click on the search bar to begin.

Step 2: Find Your Formulation

1. In the search bar, enter keywords related to:
   1. Ingredient
   2. Disease State
   3. Dosage Form
2. Select the desired formulation from the results to view more information or proceed with ordering.

Step 3: Initiate the Order

1. Click the Order Medication button for your chosen formulation.
2. An order form will open, prompting you to enter prescribing information.

Step 4: Enter Patient Information

1. Fill in the following patient details at the top of the order form:
   1. First and last name
   2. Address
   3. Phone number
   4. Date of birth
   5. Sex
   6. Email
   7. Pick-up/shipping preference

Step 5: Review Prescriber and Prescription Information

1. Check that your prescribing information is correct in the pre-populated fields.
2. If any information is incorrect, click on the field to edit it.
3. To update your account information, go to My Account in Settings on the left sidebar.

Step 6: Generate Directions

1. Use our AI-powered tool to generate directions for the formulation.
2. Review the generated directions carefully, using your professional judgment.
3. Edit the directions as needed by clicking on the input field.

Step 7: Print and Fax the Order Form

1. Click the Print Order Form button.
2. Print the form using your system's printing preferences.
3. Fax the completed order form to Bayview Pharmacy at (401) 284-4506.

The order form will then be prompted to print using your operating system's printing preferences.

That's it! We'll take care of the rest and prepare your patient's customized medication.
