We are an independently owned compounding pharmacy seeking a full time Pharmacy Technician to became a part of our team! You will assist in the preparation of medications under the direction of a pharmacist.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients
- Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
- Process prescriptions using computer software
- Label and record dosage information
- Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
- Process and package shipments
- Make and answer phone calls from patients, doctor's offices, and insurance companies
- Once certified as a Pharmacy Technician II you will be able to work in the lab making and preparing customized medications for patients
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
