This compounded formulation is used to treat a variety of disease states, including erectile dysfunction, Raynaud's phenomenon, and Peyronie's disease. Alprostadil is a vasodilator that helps to relax the smooth muscles of the penis, allowing for increased blood flow and an erection. Atropine is an anticholinergic that helps to reduce the spasms of the smooth muscles of the penis. Papaverine is a vasodilator that helps to relax the smooth muscles of the penis, allowing for increased blood flow and an erection. This formulation is administered via a small glass container designed to hold sterile liquid medication, typically through injection using a syringe. Alprostadil is a synthetic prostaglandin E1 analog that acts as a smooth muscle relaxant, allowing for increased blood flow to the penis.
